Esoro Wisa also known as Piper guineense, Guinea cubeb, Ashanti pepper, Guinea pepper, kukauabe, or Benin pepper is a spice native to West Africa.

#Esoro #wisa has an aromatic and pungent smell, tasting like a cross between allspice and black pepper. It’s flavour is also described as being similar to cubeb pepper but with a less bitter taste. Esoro Wisa imparts heat and a pungent aroma to the dishes used in. To use this spice, lightly toast the seeds before grinding to release its pungent aroma. Esoro Wisa can be used for chicken, meat, fish, in soups, porridge (Hausa koko), rice etc just like you would use black pepper.
