This is an easy way to season and grill some mackerel to have an authentic Ghanaian taste, flavor, and texture.
Easy & Tasty Grilled Mackerel
Ingredients
- 6 Large Fresh Mackerel
- 2 tbsp Aftrad Village Kitchen 7 Spice Blend
- 1/2 Salt
Instructions
- Gut and clean the mackerel. Pat is dry and allow to air dry a bit before seasoning.
- Rub the 7 Spice Blend on the Mackerel, ensuring the inside of the mackerel is also seasoned.
- Preheat the air fryer as per the fryer settings. Place rack inset in the fryer bowl. This will help drain out excess oil and liquid from the mackerel as it is grilling.
- Grill the Mackerel at a temperature of 200 degrees celsius for about 20-30 minutes until it has browned evenly and crisped up yet moist in the middle. Turn the mackerel half way during the grilling time to ensure all sides of the mackerel is cooked.
- Remove the grilled mackerel and let it rest on a grilling rack to let it cool and also drain excess moisture or oil.
- Serve warm or completely cool and bag for freezer storage.
