In a soup pot season the goat meat with the spices indicated below. Allow to season for 30minutes to 1 hour.
1 Tbsp AVK 7 Spice Blend, 1 Tbsp AVK 10 Spice Blend, Salt to taste, 3 Tbsp Green Seasoning, 1.5 kg Fresh Goat Meat
Start to cook the soup by steaming on a gentle heat. Steam the goat meat in it's own juices. Add extra water if necessary.
15 -30 minutes into the steaming, add in the rest of the ingredients indicated below.
1 Medium White Onion, 4 Large Vine Tomatoes, 3 Small Carrots, 1 Tbsp Tomato Paste, Pepper to taste preference
Once the added vegetables have softened (usually within 15 minutes), take them out and blend till very smooth. Pour the blended vegetables back into the soup pot.
Add in the extra water, stir and let it come to a rolling boil. Then turn down the heat to a gentle simmer.
2 L Water
Once the soup is cooked, there will be pockets of oil on the surface, the consistency of the soup would have thickened up and there will be a level difference on the inside of the pot rim.
Check and correct the flavour of the soup with salt if needed.
Swerve the soup warm with your favourite accompaniment.
